Child-Care-Afrika plans and projects wells.
Due to sponsorships for wells every necessary measure is prepared to build-up and renovate wells for a long-term use.
With your assistance clean water will not any longer be luxury!
Uncountable People in Africa suffer from lack of water. The cause of the problems are spoiled or dirty wells and water holes: Cattle drinks from the same well, women wash clothes in there, and the contaminated water goes back into the wells and water holes.
So there is no clean Drinking water for the human beings. Children are most affected because mostly children become sick first.
Child-Care-Afrika needs your assistance to continue with our help projects!
As a private and non-governmental organization, Child-Care-Afrika helps people in remote areas through both, short-term and long-term orientated humanitarian help projects.
Child-Care-Afrika developed a simple, but efficient method: To renovate wells, our team takes water samples and tests them. According to the results African and Austrian experts remove contaminated water and mud. In the next step, a well edging is build and sealed and a fence is build to keep cattle and wild animals away from the drinking water for the human beings. After that a channel with slope is provided between the water for the human beings and the water for the cattle so that also in a long-term planning clean drinking water is available. Some weeks later, again one of our teams tests samples of the drinking water so that a good quality is guaranteed. Only when the drinking water is clean the well will be opened for human beings.
With your help, Child-Care-Afrika can build up a central water tank with 20.000 Litres and fill it up regulary through a modern pump station. The capacity of the pump station and the water tank can provide 200 - 300 inhabitants of the near-by villages with daily clean drinking water.
Child-Care-Afrika regulary controls the wells and pumps and tests the water quality for a stabile good quality throughout the year.
