Schools in Africa are urgently looking for second hand Notebooks to train their students. Even in Africa time doesn’t stand still, and so computers are very much needed for school lessons to make the students fit for the job

With your donation of a Notebook you help African students to have a future. Even most of the teachers and principles don’t have a computer to work with. Child-Care-Africa gives training to the teachers so that they can teach their students.

Why Notebooks and not computers? First of all there are often power shortages, mainly in rural areas. Notebooks can still run with the battery, but with a PC everything which wasn’t saved will be lost.

Also the transport costs to Africa are much lower. Important is, that every Notebook given contains a driver CD. So our technician in Namibia can install a free operating systems to make sure the notebooks can be used by the students and teachers.
